Creator Revenue on SVER: Tiered Subscription Share Explained
The standard revenue split on Twitch is 50/50 for affiliates and negotiated rates for partners — typically 60/40 or 70/30 for top earners. Kick entered the market with a 95/5 split to grab market share, but the sustainability of that model remains an open question. YouTube Gaming offers 70/30 on Super Chats and memberships.
SVER's subscription economics use a unified creator ladder (Scout → Trailblazer → Pioneer → Pathfinder) that maps to 65%, 70%, 75%, and 80% creator shares on subscriptions and subscription-class gifted revenue evaluated at payout time.
Tiered splits (subscriptions + subscription-class gifts)
When a viewer pays for subscriptions routed through our subscription rail, Scout creators receive 65%, Trailblazers 70%, Pioneers 75%, and Pathfinders 80%. The remainder funds platform ops, infra, moderation, discovery, and support. Exact percentages mirror the live broadcaster dashboard so there is nothing hidden behind marketing copy.
Why keep tips at 100%?
Direct tips are optional fan support. We intentionally leave tips at 100% to creators so discretionary appreciation is never diluted — while subscription revenue scales with ladder investment (longer retention, advanced programs, amplified support).
How SVER Monetization Works
Subscription Tiers
Creators on SVER can offer multiple subscription tiers, each with custom pricing and perks. Subscribers gain access to tier-specific emotes, badges, and creator-defined benefits. The credited creator/platform split reflects the broadcaster's unlocked ladder tier at settlement.
Unlike some platforms, SVER does not require creators to reach a follower or concurrent viewer threshold before enabling subscriptions. Once your broadcast application is approved, monetization is immediately available.
Direct Tips
Viewers can tip creators directly using real currency. Tips bypass the subscription model entirely — they are one-time payments where creators currently keep 100%, while SVER absorbs payment processing. Minimum tip amounts prevent micro-transaction abuse while keeping tipping accessible.
The Valor Economy
Valor is SVER's platform-wide community currency. Viewers earn Valor through watch time, achievements, and participation in platform activities. Creators receive Valor from their community through various engagement actions.
Valor can be spent on:
- •Cosmetics: Profile customizations, badges, and visual flair
- •Predictions: Betting on stream outcomes through SVER's prediction market system
- •Faction Wars: Fortifying territories and contributing to faction objectives
- •Chat Boosts: Highlighting messages in chat (5-50 Valor)
Valor is not directly convertible to real currency — it is a community engagement currency, not a cryptocurrency. Its purpose is to reward active participation and create meaningful interactions beyond simple monetary transactions.
Print on Demand Store
SVER offers an integrated POD (Print on Demand) store where creators can sell custom merchandise — apparel, accessories, and other products — without inventory risk. Products are printed and shipped on order, and creators earn revenue on each sale with the same creator-first philosophy.
Comparison with Other Platforms
| Platform | Sub Revenue Split | Tip Split | Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twitch (Affiliate) | 50/50 | 50/50 (Bits) | 50 followers, 3 avg viewers |
| Twitch (Partner) | 60/40 to 70/30 | 50/50 (Bits) | Invitation + negotiation |
| YouTube Gaming | 70/30 | 70/30 (Super Chat) | 1,000 subscribers |
| Kick | 95/5 | 95/5 | Varies |
| SVER | 65/35→80/20 (tiered) | 100/0 | Broadcast approval + ladder |
The difference is not just the percentages — it is the clarity. Scouts start at 65/35 creator/platform on subscriptions and gifted subs routed through our subscription rails; Pioneer and Pathfinder pull the platform share down toward 25% and then 20% at the top tier. Exact numbers always match what you see in the broadcaster tier dashboard — no hidden renegotiations.
No Algorithmic Revenue Suppression
On some platforms, taking a break from streaming can affect your algorithmic visibility, which indirectly affects your revenue. Fewer impressions mean fewer new viewers, which means fewer subscribers.
SVER does not penalize absence. The MAGnet discovery system rewards consistency with a multiplier up to 1.3x, but it does not suppress creators who take time off. Your existing subscribers still get notifications, your faction community still finds you, and your revenue from existing relationships continues unaffected.
Transparency
SVER publishes monthly transparency reports that include platform revenue, operational costs, and creator payout totals. We believe creators deserve to understand the economics of the platform they build their careers on.
The tiered subscription ladder is documented alongside our transparency reports — it is meant to reward sustained growth without surprising legacy creators who already unlocked higher splits.
